Celtic League, established the United Nations

Many thanks to my friends in Kernow branch of Celtic League for their press release announcing they had received "registry within the economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in the United Nations.

According to the League, was established to improve and enhance the participation of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in the United Nations. Celtic League would join just another 979 Organizations from around the world with this privileged status.

The register is usually limited to NGOS, with a narrow and/or technical focus and includes Association for world education, International Federation for the protection of the rights of ethnic, religious, linguistic and other minorities & refugees international.

As the League

press release: "the League has limited consultative status with the UN and the UN could be called to contribute to the discussion, to enable it to form an opinion on certain topics, in particular areas. Status also means that the League can attend the meetings of the UN, will be invited to attend international conferences contribute to forums and to appoint representatives
UN. "

The League recognition is through the proposal of Egypt. UN Mission in the UK, based in New York, tells me that such proposals are very rarely rejected if there is an objection by a State, where the NGOS. The Celtic League, which would be either Britain, France or Ireland.
