Grants to underperforming schools

There are three urban schools from the region getting aid from federal funds to implement plans to enhance the achievement of the students.


Schools were among the 18 recently selected by the State to receive approximately $ 28 million over three years to carry out the improvements.


Arlington Elementary School in Lawrence receives 1.2 million dollars and Charlotte m. Murkland elementary school in Lowell and e. j. Harrington Elementary School in Lynn 1,5 million dollars apiece, according to figures of the initial assignment.
