A group of students win $ 1000 grants

Five groups of students were selected as finalists for the Scholarship Contest "Tools-Up" Eye Care Associates.

School groups are invited to submit short films highlighting the need for their grants of $ 1000 and the Grand-Prize winner-Thunder Junior wheelchair basketball team, was established by means of a vote on the Facebook Eye Care Associates.

Based on triangle Junior Thunder, who scored 20 tickets per game the Carolina Hurricanes as the grand prize winner, plans to organize a tournament with other wheelchair basketball teams and the award of $ 1,000.

Other winners were:

Team Dance Knightdale High School, who intends to use its grant to study dance in New York City.

The Department of drama Wake Forest-Rolesville High School, who intends to use the money to compete in Odyssey of the mind.

Eugene Ashley High School Squad (cheerleading) from Wilmington, North Carolina, which will present its grant towards participation in the Conference this summer.

Fuquay-Varina High School (cheerleading) representation, which it intends to buy additional mat and procedures in the next season.
